Truffles are a kind of fungus that grows under the ground. They are among the most valuable foodstuffs in the world. While French and Italian truffles are famous, English truffles are less well known but still prized for their culinary value. In the 19th and early 20th centuries England had a moderately thriving truffle industry. The English Truffle Company finds black truffles in English woodlands, offers them for sale and gives a unique opportunity to experience truffle hunting. We also sell truffle trees, truffle shavers, and truffle products (oil, salt etc.) as well as offering truffle dog training and harvesting / searching services.
Join us on one of our unique truffle hunting experience days. In the beautiful Dorset or Wiltshire countryside learn all about English truffles, work with our truffle hounds to find them growing wild then sample their remarkable flavour. "A truly marvellous experience and highly recommended".
From August to January we sustainably harvest black truffles from Dorset and Wiltshire woodlands. These are available for purchase by individuals, restaurants, wholesalers and retailers. Previous customers have included Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Hairy Biker, Si King. "I would recommended them to any restaurant or truffle fan".
